Woodrow Glenn Maloney

	Woodrow Glenn Maloney, age 88, of Pinckneyville, passed away Saturday morning, May 26, 2001 at 3:42 a.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Woodrow was born October 20, 1912, the son of Walter Scott and Matilda (Kuhn) Maloney in Murphysboro.  He was united in marriage to Evelyn Himmelspoch October 31, 1937 in Paducah, Ky. and she preceded him in death on January 25, 1991.  Woodrow was a veteran of WW II in the U.S. Air Force, received his Bachelors degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and his Masters Degree form Vander Cook College of Music.  He worked for the Pinckneyville School District as a music teacher and band director from 1948 until 1971 and was also employed by the music department at Southern Illinois University for 35 years.  He began his music career by playing in dance bands around Southern Illinois and surrounding states.  Woodrow was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Pinckneyville, an avid golfer and a lifelong resident of Southern Illinois.
	Woodrow is survived by two daughters, Peggy McEnary and husband Gene of Edwardsville and Jean Eder and husband Jeff of Cumming, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Michael McEnary, Nancy Agee and her husband Marty, Stephanie, Bryan, Andrew, Joshua and Jonathan Elder; two great grandchildren, Kristin and Kaitlyn Agee and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers, Paul, David, Freddy and Robert Maloney and two sisters, Kathrine Adkins and Rosanna Maloney.
	Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 29 at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville at 11 a.m. with Pastor Russell Helbig officiating.  Interment was in the IOOF City Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on the day of service from 8 until 11 a.m.
	Memorials may be made to the Woodrow G. Maloney Music Scholarship Fund.
